On a beautiful Friday in May Jessica and Vincent tied the knot in Sol y Sombra (now 10 Bridge Street), surrounded by their friends and family. It was an intimate ceremony performed by Helen O’Sullivan of Spiritual Celebrants that incorporated lots of little touches to make the ceremony so personal for the Bride and Groom.
After the new Mr. & Mrs tied the knot, the guests retired to Nicks Restaurant for a few drinks and indulged in some John Doughs Doughnuts before returning to Sol y Sombra for the reception. With Vincent being a sheep farmer, naturally, the lamb was on the menu as well as a scrumptious salmon dish. Some wonderfully touching speeches took place after dinner before Deuces Wild took over and had the dance floor absolutely packed for the night!

“I got married in Sol y Sombra on Friday just gone. From start to finish it was the day of my dreams. Katie, the wedding coordinator is amazing at her job. Her professionalism, attention to detail and passion are second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and she made it her mission to make sure myself and my husband had the best day of our lives. Katie thought of everything and filled me with confidence from our very first meeting. Katie stayed until the very end of the night to make sure everything ran smoothly which it did. She managed all my suppliers meaning I had nothing at all to worry about in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The venue itself is beautifully authentic. The ceremony set up was spectacular but the evening set up blew us and our guest away. The food was stunning and generous. So many guests remarked that it was the best wedding and best wedding venue they had ever been to. From the music playing as my guests walked up the driveway to the stunning terrace it was just perfection. I cannot recommend sol y Sombra highly enough and I know it will forever hold a special place in all our hearts. A wedding guest even returned to Sol y Sombra the day after the wedding for dinner.
