Mazel Tov! A Jewish salutation meaning congratulations or good luck was definitely the theme of Marianna & Sam’s wedding. The Bride was Irish, and the groom was Canadian-Jewish and the combination led to one of the most memorable weddings we have ever had at 10 Bridge Street!
This celebration had it all, breath taking greenery and flowers by The Irish Green Guys & Maura’s Cottage Flowers, fabulous decorations, a scrumptious 8 course tapas feast and it wouldn’t be a Jewish wedding without The Horah! The Bride and groom were both lifted in chair above the crowd as the band played Hava Nagila, the dance floor was packed and the craic was 90. As if all this wasn’t enough, a special guest arrived to the wedding just as the speeches were finishing…. the Sam McGuire! Marianna’s nephew did the honours of bringing in Sam McGuire and everyone, even the 10 Bridge Street staff got to have a photo with “Sam”.
We had a brilliant day with Marianna and Sam, we would love to do it all over again!
I can't say enough good things about 10 Bridge Street! From the first day we met our wedding coordinator Clíodhna, right through to the day itself, our experience went far beyond any expectations we had. We knew we didn't want the traditional church/hotel type of wedding, and since my husband is Jewish-Canadian, we wanted to make sure that the event felt like a real blend of cultures as opposed to a typical Irish wedding. As soon as we saw the venue and tasted the food at 10 Bridge Street we were completely sold! On the day itself, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating of us and took care of so many details we hadn't even thought of. Kate did an amazing job coordinating everything with our vendors and made us feel totally relaxed. It was as though everything was curated especially for us, and we never felt like we had to fit into the team's set schedule or idea of what a wedding is/should be. The food service was top class and so many of our guests commented on how lovely it was to experience 'family style' dining at a wedding as it made the dinner segment of the evening much more sociable. All that's left to say is a huge thanks to Kate, Clíodhna and all the team at 10 Bridge Street. If you are a couple considering having your wedding there, my advice is simple - book now!
