Paddy Casey

Event Description

Paddy Casey, a prominent figure in the Irish music scene since his multi-platinum debut album ‘Amen (So Be It),’ is set to perform at 10 Bridge Street, Killorglin on Friday, March 1st. This event coincides with the release of his latest single, ‘Won’t Take Much,’ and the announcement of his fifth album, ‘Turn This Ship Around,’ a double album.
‘Won’t Take Much’ is a lively, guitar-driven song with a blend of brass and strings, representing the upbeat, electric, and synth-infused side of the album’s first part. The second part takes on a more laid-back, acoustic vibe. Recorded independently in his home studio, Paddy Casey emphasized the spontaneity and collaborative nature of the production, with the single coming to life in a single day, later enhanced by friends and bandmates contributing strings and horns.Having toured globally with iconic acts such as The Pretenders, R.E.M, Ian Brown, Blondie, and Tracy Chapman, Paddy Casey has been a significant presence in the music scene. His debut album achieved international success, featured in popular TV shows like ‘Dawson’s Creek’ and ‘Roswell,’ and led to extensive American and European tours. His second album, ‘Living,’ became one of Ireland’s highest-selling albums (approximately 15 times platinum). After parting ways with his record label, Casey embraced independence, resulting in the platinum-status release of ‘The Secret Life Of.’ ‘Won’t Take Much’ is set to release across all digital platforms, accompanied by the launch of ‘Turn This Ship Around.’ Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Paddy Casey’s dynamic music live on March 1st at 10 Bridge Street, Killorglin. Please note this is a standing gig
